Nikhil Mittal has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2011, they worked as a Research Intern at the University of New South Wales. Nikhil then completed an internship at Shinhan Bank in 2012. From 2013 to 2015, Nikhil served as a Manager in the Enterprise Risk Management team at Axis Bank. During this time, they were responsible for developing and maintaining the Corporate Credit Rating Tool and modeling various credit parameters.
In 2015, Nikhil worked as a Consultant in the Financial Risk Management team at KPMG, where they advised financial institutions on risk practices. Nikhil also co-founded and advised CreYo, Creative Youngs, a venture that aimed to empower creative individuals.
In 2016, Nikhil joined Standard Chartered Bank as an Analyst in the Group Risk Measurement team. In this role, they developed credit scorecards and models for both retail and corporate clients across multiple countries. Nikhil also collaborated with country heads and managed a team of analysts.
In 2018, Nikhil had a summer associate role at ENGIE, where they helped set up the ENGIE Factory APAC, the corporate venture capital arm of ENGIE in the region.
Returning to Standard Chartered Bank in 2019, Nikhil initially worked as a Business Manager for DataBox, an internal analytics platform aiming to improve productivity in operations. Nikhil was involved in platform commercialization and scaling, as well as testing and adopting new tools and technologies.
In 2021, Nikhil took on an expanded role as an Associate Director and Product Owner, leading analytics on a transformation project called new Ways of Working (nWOW). Nikhil provided actionable insights to boost productivity and enable better decision-making, impacting a portfolio with a budget of over $700 million and 8,000 staff.
Most recently, Nikhil joined SC Ventures at Standard Chartered Bank in 2022, where they became a member of the team responsible for building and scaling Letsbloom, a platform that provides trusted infrastructure for modern solutions with security and compliance. Nikhil also took on the role of Head of Business Management and Business Development at Letsbloom.
Nikhil Mittal completed their education in various institutions and fields of study. In 1996, they attended the Atomic Energy Central School for their high school education. From 2008 to 2013, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. During the same period, they also obtained a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from the same institution. In 2012, Nikhil attended a Summer School program at RWTH Aachen University, where they studied Energy Management and Systems. In 2018, they attended INSEAD and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Business Administration and Management, General. Additionally, in October 2020, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from Scrum Alliance.
