Carlos Román Alcaide has been working in the field of marketing, design, and communication since 2013. Carlos started their career as a writer and translator for FUET Magazine in 2013, then worked as a translator and subtitler for TED Conferences in 2014. In the same year, they worked as a copywriter and translator for ZeClé, a marketing, design, and communication company for hotels. In 2015, they worked as an Audiovisual Manager for Digitalia, Inc., a Netflix-like company, and as an independent subtitler. Carlos then worked as a copywriter, content, and community manager for This is Odd in 2019, and currently works as an Influencer Marketing Manager and Media Buyer for LetyShops.
Carlos Román Alcaide has a diverse educational background. From 2007 to 2012, they attended Universidad Pablo de Olavide, where they obtained a Licenciatura en Traducción e Interpretación. Carlos's field of study included languages, translation, interpretation, localization, and text revision and correction. From 2012 to 2014, they attended Instituto de Estudios Lingüísticos y Traducción (ISTRAD) and obtained a Master en Traducción Audiovisual, specializing in audiovisual translation, subtitling, localization, and dubbing. In 2013 and 2014, they also attended Escuela Hofmann de Hostelería and obtained a Formación completa de cocinero, specializing in cooking and hospitality. In 2009 and 2010, they attended The University of Salford, where they obtained a BA (Hons) Translation and Interpreting (English/Spanish). Carlos's field of study included translation, languages, interpretation, and text revision and correction. Lastly, from 2017 to 2018, they attended ESdesign Escuela Superior de Diseño de Barcelona and obtained a Máster en Diseño Publicitario e Innovación en Comunicación de Marcas, specializing in advertising.
