Katie Newton-John has extensive work experience in various legal roles. Katie began their career as a Lawyer at Ashurst from September 2000 to August 2003. Katie then worked as a General Counsel and Company Secretary at Rail Infrastructure Corporation from October 2005 to July 2012. Following that, they joined Coca-Cola Amatil as a Group Company Secretary & Corporate Counsel from July 2012 to May 2017. Katie then served as the General Counsel and Company Secretary at NSW Ports from June 2017 to November 2017. After that, they held the position of General Counsel and Company Secretary at Western Sydney Airport from November 2017 to October 2019. Katie later moved to Allianz Australia as the Group Company Secretary & Corporate Counsel from February 2020 to August 2022. Currently, they are working as the General Counsel and Company Secretary at Levande starting from September 2022.

In 2004 and 2005, Katie enrolled at The College of Law Australia, where they pursued an Australian Requalification program. In 2008, they attended the Governance Institute of Australia, where they completed a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance from 2008 to 2011.
Additionally, in 2008, Katie also completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
