Jose M. P. Gila

Jose M. P. Gila has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. Jose M. started their career as a Sport Journalist at TVE, where they covered major sporting events and generated stories about FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol. Jose M. then worked as a Researcher and Professor at the Olympic Studies Centre, Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, where they were responsible for creating and editing audiovisual content for the website and managing social media platforms. Jose M. also served as the Head of Contents at The Social Media and Global Sport Observatory.

In addition, Gila has experience in sports analytics and data analysis. Jose M. worked as a Data Analyst at Córdoba Club de Fútbol SAD and as a Technical Secretary at Extremadura UD, where they conducted recruitment analysis, video analysis, and produced statistical reports for the coaching staff. Currently, they are the Head of Sports Analytics at Levante UD.

Gila also participated in the 22nd International Seminar on Olympic Studies for Postgraduate Students at the International Olympic Academy.

Jose M. P. Gila completed their Bachelor's degree in Journalism at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 2009 to 2013. Jose M. then pursued a Master's degree at the same institution from 2013 to 2014. Lastly, they obtained their PhD in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, spanning from 2014 to 2017.
