Plácido Ostos Nieto

Plácido Ostos Nieto is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of European Analytics at LevelTen Energy since July 2022, where responsibilities include providing regulatory coverage and market intelligence to enhance Power Purchase Agreements and renewable energy deployment across Europe. Previously, Plácido held the position of Head of Regulatory Affairs for the Atlantic Area at Iberdrola Renovables from May 2007 to June 2022, overseeing markets and regulations in Brazil, Mexico, the United States, and the United Kingdom, alongside managing the US fundamentals department from 2016 to 2019. Early career experience includes working as an Energy Trader at Electrabel, where Plácido established the Energy Management Department, and as an Engineer at Endesa, focusing on modernizing control systems in power plants. Plácido Ostos Nieto holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comillas and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
