Katherine Genao

Katherine Genao is a dedicated educational leader with extensive experience in driving leadership development and community engagement initiatives. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Leadership Development & Engagement at LeveragED Foundation since December 2022, Katherine has focused on creating impactful leadership programs for senior educators nationwide. Previous roles include Director of Special Projects at LeveragED Foundation, Leader Fellow at KIPP NYC, and Founding Dean, where contributions included professional development and support for teachers and instructional expertise. Earlier experience at Success Academy Charter Schools and the NYC Department of Education involved leadership roles in teaching and mentoring across several educational settings. Katherine holds a Master's degree in Special Education from Touro University and a Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education from Boricua College, complemented by a certificate in Leading People from Harvard Business School Online.
