Weisheng Chen

Weisheng Chen has extensive work experience in the scientific research field. Weisheng founded and served as the CEO of Leveragen since October 2017. Prior to this, they worked at Kallyope as a Founding Scientist and Genetic Models Group Leader from October 2015 to October 2017. Weisheng also held the position of Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University Medical Center from September 2009 to October 2015. Before that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University from September 2004 to September 2009. Weisheng began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where they worked from September 1999 to September 2004.

Weisheng Chen completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell, Developmental and Neural Biology from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 1997 to 2004. Prior to their Ph.D., they obtained a Master's Degree in Genetics from Peking University. Further, they received their Bachelor's Degree in Physiology from Nanjing University.
