Shela Duong

Shela Duong is currently a Product Designer II at Leverege. Shela has previous experience as a UI/UX Designer at Swordpoint Studios LLC and an Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Accenture.

Shela's interest in design began when they were 4 weeks into their internship as a UI/UX Designer at Swordpoint Studios LLC. There, they worked with the CEO / developer and scrum master in order to redesign parts of the web application - Slash N Forge. Through this process, they Conducted competitor analysis and researched best UX practices for focused parts of the redesign, in order to find solutions to the problem space. Shela also collaborated with another UX designer to ideate solutions while using various UX methodologies such as sketching, lo-fi wireframes, and creating visuals. This experience solidified their desire to pursue a career in design.

When Shela isn't designing, you can find their spending time with their family and friends, reading, or playing video games.

Shela Duong has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from UC Irvine, and an Associate's degree in Sociology from De Anza College. Shela is also certified in UI/UX Design Career Track from Springboard, and has completed certification courses in UX Design: 3 Creating Personas from LinkedIn, Figma for UX Design from LinkedIn Learning, The Complete SQL Bootcamp from Udemy, Evaluating User Interfaces from Coursera, Prototyping and Design from Coursera, User Research and Design from Coursera, and Introduction to UI Design from Coursera.

Shela Duong reports to Nadia Jamrozik, Head, Product Design. They work with Elle Patterson - Product Designer, Lauren Winkler - Product Designer.
