Ria Lu is an experienced professional with a diverse background in the gaming industry. Ria currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Leveret Group, a position they have held since November 2021. Prior to this role, Ria held the position of Studio Director at Laguna Games from August 2021 to March 2023. Ria also served as the Executive Director of the Game Developers Association of the Philippines from January 2017 to May 2022.
In their previous roles, Ria worked as a Studio Director at First Foundry from October 2018 to August 2021. Ria was the CEO and General Manager of Komikasi Games and Entertainment, where they led the development of various card games and casual games, as well as advergames for well-known brands. Ria also gained experience in business development and operations management as a Business Development Manager and Japanese-Speaking Operations Manager at transcosmos Asia Philippines Inc.
Additionally, Ria has a background in teaching, having served as a Lecturer at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, De La Salle University, and the First Academy of Computer Arts during different periods. Ria is an accomplished professional with a strong knowledge of the gaming industry and a successful track record in leadership roles.
Ria Lu holds a Master's degree in International Business from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, which they started in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from De La Salle University, which they completed between 1998 and 2002. Ria also holds a Certificate in Computer Graphics for Games from Tokyo Technical College, which they obtained from 2004 to 2006. In addition, they have a Certificate in Japanese Language from Bunka International Language School, which they earned in 2003-2004. Ria Lu also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Biblical Stewardship from Asian Theological Seminary, which they completed from 2014 to 2017. Ria has additional certifications including Qualified Licensing Practitioner from Licensing International, Google Sites Certification, Level 3 CG Certification from CG Arts Society of Japan, and N3 Japanese Language Proficiency from JLPT.
