Bharath Rao has extensive work experience in the fields of blockchain technology, trading platforms, software development, and finance. In 2015, they founded Cryptin.io, a company that automates compliance for blockchain companies using cryptography and game theory. Bharath also founded Leverj in the same year, which is a non-custodial trading platform with built-in security and compliance features.
Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Bharath worked at GE Software from 2012 to 2015 as a Technical Product Manager and Senior Software Development Manager. During their tenure, they were involved in technical leadership, people management, and product development, and was responsible for coaching other leaders and building a high-performing team.
Bharath also worked at Motorola Labs from 2010 to 2012 as a Senior Research Engineer, where they contributed to research projects on cloud computing, virtualization, identity management systems, and video-content management. Bharath actively participated in intellectual property goals and filed patents during their time there.
Before their transition into the technology industry, Bharath spent 10 years working on Wall Street at top financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Credit Suisse, and JP Morgan. Bharath worked as a Senior Software Engineer, gaining experience in various areas including trading desks, reporting, research, foreign exchange, and equities.
Bharath Rao has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, which they obtained between 1995 and 1997. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science at the University of Mysore from 1989 to 1993.
