Oscar Ellison

Oscar Ellison has had a diverse range of work experiences. Oscar started their career as a Tutor at Clayesmore Preparatory School where they had responsibilities such as office work, sports coaching, and classroom tutoring. Oscar then worked as an Engineering Intern at Stresscrete Northern Ltd, where they gained valuable knowledge in the engineering industry. Oscar then joined GHD as a Junior Transportation Engineer, where they specialized in computer modeling, analysis, and consultation with affected residents. Oscar served as President of the Auckland University Engineering Society Inc before moving on to multiple roles at Downer New Zealand, including Contract Engineer and Contract Manager Asphalt. Their responsibilities at Downer involved resource allocation, project management, and contract negotiations. Oscar later became a Community Manager at TEDxAuckland, where they focused on fostering a sense of community and promoting conversation and debate around great ideas and innovation. Oscar then founded Yourdrive, an online car rental company, where they served as the Founder and CEO for eight years. Most recently, Oscar worked at Levno, first as a Director and then as Chief Operating Officer. In their role as COO, they led the transition to cloud infrastructure in AWS to enable future growth for the company. Throughout their career, Oscar has demonstrated their expertise in project management, contract negotiations, and leading teams to drive growth and innovation.

Oscar Ellison attended Wanganui Collegiate School from 2000 to 2004. Oscar later pursued a BE (Hons) degree in Engineering from The University of Auckland and completed it between 2006 and 2009.
