Amanda Stevenson

Amanda Stevenson is an experienced Vocal Music Educator, currently teaching 4th and 5th grade vocal music at Lewis Central Community School District since January 2019, where Amanda also prepares and directs two musicals annually. Prior to this role, Amanda founded and served as Artistic Director for Omaha Children's Choir, overseeing administrative responsibilities and budget development from July 2015 to July 2022. Additional experience includes roles as a WeBop Teaching Artist at Omaha Performing Arts and a Foster Parent at Boys Town, providing therapeutic care to children. Amanda has also held adjunct faculty positions at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Grace University, teaching choral music education and music methods. Previous teaching experience includes technology integration at Des Moines Public Schools as well as vocal music positions at Fort Madison Community School District and Harding Middle School. Amanda holds an M.M. in Music Education from Western Illinois University and a Bachelor of Music Education from Iowa Wesleyan College.
