Michelle has been named the Assistant Dean of Career and Technical Education, effective July 1, 2021, and is acting Chair of the Business Technology & Service Division. Michelle is a 1987 graduate of Coeur d'Alene High School. She earned an AAS in Medical Secretarial Science from North Idaho College in 1990, a BS in Office Administration from the University of Idaho in 1995, and a master's in Adult Education from the University of Idaho, Boise Center, in 2001.
From 2019-2021, Michelle was acting Chair of the Business Technology & Service Division at LC State.
From 2001-2019, Michelle worked for Milan Institute at campuses in both Boise and Nampa, Idaho, and taught the Administrative Medical Assisting day program, as well as the Professional Development Strategies for Success program to all incoming evening students. She was a regular substitute for evening Medical Assisting courses, served as Career Services Coordinator for one year, and was a Corporate Peer Mentor for several years, was the campus ESOP Ambassador, and served on multiple committees. Prior to Milan, she worked for St. Luke's Regional Medical Center from 1995-2001 and Morrison Knudsen from 1990-1995.
