Matthew Hatcher

Matthew Hatcher currently serves as the Director of Strategy & Corporate Development at Lewis Tree Service, a 100% employee-owned company since December 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew held the position of President at Redbud Investment Management from January to November 2023, providing management consulting services to lower middle market upstream oil and gas companies. Matthew has extensive experience in the energy sector, having been President at Azalea Energy Investments, where the focus was on energy investments across upstream oil and gas verticals. Matthew also served as Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at both Alpine Gas and Titan Rock Exploration & Production, companies specializing in the acquisition and exploitation of low-risk oil and natural gas assets. Earlier in the career, Matthew was Vice President - Oil and Gas at Sowell & Co. and served in various financial roles at EXCO Resources, Inc. Matthew holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the SMU Cox School of Business and a BBA in Finance from St. Edward's University.
