Ruth Pinchot

Ruth Pinchot is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in library media services and instructional coaching. Currently serving as a School Library Media Specialist at Lewisville ISD since August 2015, Ruth has fostered collaboration with teachers and students to enhance research-based learning activities while creating a supportive environment. Previously, Ruth worked as an Academic Decathlon Coach at Coppell ISD from August 1994 to May 1998, leading a team that achieved first place at Regionals for four consecutive years, and also held a position as a School Library Media Specialist at Coppell ISD. Ruth began a career in education as a Speech/Debate Teacher at Lewisville ISD from August 1990 to May 1994, where foundational communication skills were taught and school membership in the National Forensic League was established. Ruth holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Texas Woman's University and a Bachelor of Education in Speech/Drama Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
