Heather Danks (nee Murton)

Heather Danks (nee Murton) has a strong background in molecular development and assay development. Heather currently holds the position of VP Molecular Development at LEX Diagnostics, starting in October 2020. Prior to this, they worked at QuantuMDx Group Limited for eight years, taking on various roles including Head of Assay Development Team, Head of Clinical Assay Team, Senior Scientist, and Research Scientist. Their responsibilities at QuantuMDx involved conducting research, developing assays, and leading assay development and clinical teams. Heather began their career as a PhD student at Newcastle University, where they focused on their research until September 2012.

Heather Danks (nee Murton) pursued their higher education in the field of Genetics. In 2008, they enrolled at Newcastle University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree. This program lasted until 2009. Building upon their undergraduate studies, Heather continued their academic journey at Newcastle University, where they earned an MRes (Master of Research) degree in Genetics. Heather completed this program in 2012.
