Kristen L. Alexander

Kristen L. Alexander is the Vice President, Finance and Accounting at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals. Kristen has over 20 years of experience in both public and private accounting. Kristen began their career at Ernst & Young in November 1998 as an Audit Manager. In this role, Kristen was responsible for managing multiple concurrent engagements, executing tests of audit procedures, and documenting and performing tests of internal controls. Kristen also worked directly with client management and team executives to ensure accurate, timely and consistent accounting and financial reporting.

In April 2007, Kristen transitioned to Nabors Industries where they served as the Director of Financial Reporting. In this role, Kristen was responsible for overseeing the financial reporting for Nabors Industries, including the quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K filings. Kristen also worked closely with the auditors to ensure that all financial reporting was accurate and compliant with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Most recently, Kristen has been serving as the Controller at Johnson Specialty Tools since July 2014. In this role, Kristen is responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial reporting, including overseeing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and coordinating the annual audit. Kristen has been instrumental in helping Johnson Specialty Tools improve their financial reporting process and has helped the company save money by implementing more efficient processes.

Kristen L. Alexander received their accounting degree from the University of Oklahoma.
