Over 100 years ago, some of central Kentucky's most prominent citizens gathered to form a golf club modeled after the best of such clubs in the United States. The result was the founding of Lexington Country Club in 1901 on scenic Paris Pike in Fayette County. Evolving into a grand private club offering golf, tennis, swimming, a regal clubhouse with fine dining and numerous social events, the Lexington Country Club still claims a membership of accomplished and exceptional people.
