Skip Castleman has extensive experience in environmental health and emergency preparedness, currently serving as the EH Assistant Team Leader and Environmental Health and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator at the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department since November 2008. Castleman has held various roles within LFCHD, including Environmental Health Specialist and Emergency Preparedness Planner. Prior to this, Castleman worked as a Project Technician at M2 Technologies and as an Environmental Technologist with the State of Kentucky's Division of Water. An alumnus of the University of Kentucky, Castleman graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Additionally, Castleman has a significant background in the U.S. Navy, where service included the role of Master Chief Fire Controlman Surface Warfare, overseeing the operation and maintenance of weapon systems and managing personnel.
