Cindy Blakeney has a strong background in healthcare management, with a focus on population health and clinical integration. Cindy served as the Director of Population Health & Clinical Integration at Lexington Medical Center from 2015 to present, where they oversaw regulatory programs, quality programs, and the implementation of the Patient Centered Medical Home. Cindy was also responsible for developing and implementing a robust population health program, including office-based case management and collaborating with community-based wellness programs. Prior to their role at Lexington Medical Center, Cindy served as the Assistant Vice President of Medical Management at Sisters of Charity - Providence Hospitals from 2003 to 2012. Cindy also had a long tenure at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, specifically in their Companion HealthCare division, from 1993 to 2003.
Cindy Blakeney holds a Master's degree in Management which they obtained from Southern Wesleyan University between 2007 and 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Clemson University.
