Dan Phillips, MD has extensive work experience in the field of anesthesia. Dan began their career as an Anesthesiologist at Carolina Anesthesiology Associates in 2005. Dan later served as the System Medical Director in the Department of Anesthesia at Prisma Health - Midlands from 2005 to 2019. In 2020, Dr. Phillips joined Lexington Medical Center as an Anesthesiologist. Dan has since held the positions of Vice Chief in the Department of Anesthesia from 2022 to 2023, and currently serves as the Chief of the Department of Anesthesia.
Dan Phillips, MD completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology, General at the University of South Carolina from 1992 to 1995. Dan then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the same university from 1996 to 2001. Following this, they enrolled in the Residency program at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine from 2001 to 2005, specializing in Anesthesiology.
