Jeffrey Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jeffrey started their career as a Hydraulic Technician in the United States Marine Corps, where they received multiple certifications and awards. After their military service, they worked as an Orthopedic Surgery Tech at Ingham Regional Medical Center, gaining experience in medical procedures and terminology. Jeffrey then transitioned into the legal field, working as a Managing Partner at Couling, Wilson & Associates, PLLC, where they expanded the practice and increased the client base through referrals. Subsequently, they worked as an Associate Trial Attorney at Kronzek & Cronkright PLLC and as a Director of Risk/Associate General Counsel at BattleCreek Health System, where they managed defense litigation and implemented risk reduction plans. Jeffrey then joined Saint Alphonsus Health System as the Director of Insurance and Risk, overseeing incident reporting and managing day-to-day operations. Following that, they served as the Deputy General Counsel at St. Luke's Health System, handling a wide range of legal responsibilities, including complex litigation, IT agreements, and labor and employment issues. Jeffrey then held the positions of Senior VP & General Counsel at Memorial Health University Medical Center and Senior Vice President General Counsel at Lexington Medical Center, gaining extensive experience in healthcare legal matters. Most recently, they joined the University of South Carolina as an Assistant Professor.

Jeffrey Wilson obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology, General from Michigan State University in the years 1995 to 1998. Jeffrey then pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) degree with a focus on Health Law at Michigan State University from 1999 to 2002. Subsequently, they obtained their JD degree from Michigan State University College of Law during the same period. Jeffrey also possesses several state bar licenses, including the Michigan Bar License in 2002, the Idaho Bar License in 2009, the Georgia Bar License in 2014, and the Attorney certification from the South Carolina state bar in 2016. Additionally, they hold a certification in Estate Planning from the State Bar of Michigan.
