Lydia Sakakeeny has a wealth of experience in the field of Regulatory Affairs. Lydia began their career in 2000 as a Research Technician at Speedline Technologies. In 2002, they took on the role of Teacher at Haverhill Public Schools. From 2004 to 2011, they worked as a Postdoctoral Associate and Graduate Research Assistant at Tufts University, where they developed an assay for the detection of five chemically diverse nutrients in Human Blood, funded by an award from the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, and examined the relationship between vitamin B6 status and inflammation in mouse model of diet induced obesity. In 2011, they were a Regulatory Affairs Associate at Thoratec and a Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Levitronix. From 2013 to 2020, they held various roles at Medtronic, including Director of Regulatory, Clinical and Medical Affairs, Director of Regulatory Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs Manager. Currently, they are a Sr. Director Regulatory Affairs at Lexington Medical, Inc.
Lydia Sakakeeny received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nutritional Biochemistry and Metabolism, Epidemiolgoy from Tufts University between 2003 and 2009. Prior to that, they received their BS in Biochemistry from Trinity College-Hartford between 1998 and 2002.
