Lexipol
Ken Wallentine currently serves as Chief of Police for the West Jordan Police Department since October 2018 and has held the position of Past-President for the Utah Chiefs of Police Association since March 2021. As a Senior Legal Advisor for Lexipol since March 2014, Wallentine authors Xiphos, a monthly legal update aimed at assisting public safety professionals with training and policy development. Previously, Wallentine worked as a Special Agent for the Utah Attorney General from November 2015 to October 2018, concentrating on significant investigations, and served as Commissioner and Chairman of the Peace Officer Merit Commission of Greater Salt Lake County until October 2018. Wallentine’s law enforcement career includes a role as Chief of Law Enforcement at the Utah Attorney General's Office from June 2005 to March 2014, overseeing multiple task forces. Wallentine holds a Juris Doctor degree from BYU Law School, obtained between 1987 and 1990.
