Cameron Kent

Cameron Kent is an accomplished Director of Software Engineering at LexisNexis, where tenure began in January 2016. In this role, Cameron has successfully created and managed eight teams in South Africa, expanding the workforce from zero to over 70 staff members while collaborating on key North American products such as Lexis Advance and Lexis+. Prior experience includes serving as a Software Engineering Manager and leading the Lexis KYC project, focusing on critical security data for customer identity verification. Earlier positions include tutoring at the University of Cape Town, interning at SensePost and MWR InfoSecurity, and various software engineering roles, including transitioning to full-stack development with the WinDeed project. Cameron holds a BCom Honours in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town and a BSc in Computer Science and Information Systems from Rhodes University.
