Nico Buxbaum is an experienced Senior Imagery Data Scientist II at LexisNexis, focusing on land use analysis and property understanding through geospatial data and machine learning since March 2023. Previously, from April 2021 to January 2023, Nico worked as a Computer Vision Engineer at iUNU, Inc., tackling agricultural challenges with a data-oriented approach. Nico also contributed to the UC Davis Plant AI Biophysics Lab from September 2018 to December 2020, where a novel deep learning method for estimating biomass of leafy green plants was developed. Nico holds a Master of Science in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of California, Davis, obtained in 2020, and a Bachelor of Engineering Honors in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from McGill University, completed in 2017.
