Christian Steiger has a diverse range of work experience with roles in various companies. Christian started their career in 1999 as an Internet Solution Manager for NewBusiness at Haufe Mediengruppe - Redmark. Christian went on to work as a Teamleader in eCommerce/eBusiness at Haufe Mediengruppe from 2001 to 2005. Later, they served as the Head of Program- & Projectmanagement at Haufe Mediengruppe from 2005 to 2007. In 2008, they founded Zaplive Media GmbH and served as the CEO. From 1993 to 2010, they were a Music Producer for urban-listening.com. In 2010, they worked as an ME310 at Stanford University, where they led Design-Thinking processes. From 2010 to 2012, they were the Division Manager Blue Ocean at Haufe Group. Christian then became the Business Area Manager for Innovation & New Products at Haufe Group, a position they held until 2019. In 2019, they joined Lexware as the Managing Director of Lexware and Founder of lexoffice, focusing on strategy development and delivery. In 2020, they became a Board Member at Kontist.

Christian Steiger attended Hochschule Furtwangen from 1995 to 1999, where they received a Dipl. Inform. FH degree in Informatics.
