Brian Hilgert

Brian Hilgert started their work experience at Universal Electric Corporation in 1999 as an Engineer. In this role, they designed and implemented new products, developed unique features resulting in several patents, and assisted towards ISO 9002 certification. Brian then moved on to Kennametal in 2008, where they worked as a Staff Engineer. Here, they led various projects to improve EHS, quality, and productivity of manufacturing processes, and also developed financial analysis for process transitions. Since 2017, Brian has been working at Leybold as the Head of Systems and previously as the Systems Design Manager.

Brian Hilgert has a strong educational background in engineering and manufacturing. Brian obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University-Erie Campus between 1994 and 1998. Brian later pursued further education at the University of Pittsburgh, where they earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, during the same period, they also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on engineering at the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business.
