Chris Rockett

Chris Rockett serves as the Southeast Account Manager and Sales Engineer for Scientific Vacuum at Leybold since January 2022. In conjunction with this role, Chris operates a side project named The Rockett Scientist, providing handyman services to local communities. Previous experience includes serving as Director of Engineering and Product/Process Engineer at Light Sources Inc., where responsibilities encompassed managing engineering personnel and supporting UV lamp applications. Additional roles include Applications Engineer at Heraeus Noblelight, R&D Engineer/Chemist at Engi-Mat, R&D Engineer at DSC Materials Inc., and Research Assistant at Georgia Tech. Chris holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Chris has also been involved in music as a guitarist, vocalist, bandleader, and manager for the group Style Points.
