Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing
David van Bodegom serves as a Professor of Vitality in an Ageing Population at both the Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing and the Leiden University Medical Center. Since September 2020, David has engaged in various leadership roles, including membership on the Supervisory Boards of Omring and the Gezondheidscentrum Kersenboogerd, as well as serving on the Board of Advisors for the Stichting Nationaal Ouderenfonds. David's literary contributions include authorship of the novel "Nood breekt wet" and a long-standing role as a columnist at Leiden University. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Ancient History and a Medical Doctorate from Leiden University, along with a postgraduate degree in Health Care Administration. Volunteering as a medical doctor at Kruispost, David provided critical healthcare services to marginalized populations in Amsterdam.
