Josanne Huijg is a Senior Researcher at Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing since May 2015, focusing on improving the quality of life for older individuals through research, development, education, and outreach. In addition, Josanne holds positions as a Board Member at NVG-KNOWS and a Program Committee Member at Zorgondersteuningsfonds since 2021. From April 2014 to May 2015, Josanne worked as a Program Secretary at ZonMw, coordinating a scientific advisory council for a European initiative on diet and health. Josanne's academic background includes a PhD in health psychology and implementation science from Leiden University, with research on physical activity interventions in primary health care. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Treatment Coordinator and Research Assistant in a forensic setting and completing a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychology, respectively, from Leiden University and the University of Sydney.
