Marjolein Baars

Marjolein Baars is an accomplished artist and educator with extensive experience in the fields of acting and clowning, specializing in the Michael Chekhov acting technique. Currently serving as Artist in Residence at Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing and as artistic director of Michael Chekhov Collectief, Marjolein has been a partner with several organizations, including Michael Chekhov Center NL, Unitiative, and Michael Chekhov Europe, since 2005. Additionally, Marjolein holds roles as a guest teacher and trainer, focusing on applications of artistic methodologies within education and healthcare. As a member and board member of Micha, the Michael Chekhov Association, and the owner of tiny hero productions, Marjolein has developed innovative training programs and has authored several works on dementia, including "Making Contact with Dementia." With a strong educational background in arts and human development, Marjolein continues to promote art in society through various projects and training initiatives.
