Zohra Bourik is an experienced researcher and project coordinator with a strong background in community engagement and child welfare. Currently serving as an Onderzoeker at Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing since September 2022, Zohra previously worked as a Wetenschappelijk onderzoeker at VUmc from 2017 to 2022. Zohra has held various leadership positions, including Projectcoördinator at Stichting Praat and co-founder of VENA - Vrouwen Empowerment Netwerk Amsterdam, focusing on women's empowerment and safe upbringing for children. Additional roles include senior project manager at Stedelijk Jongerenwerk Asd and unit manager at Chebba Meidenplaza. Educational qualifications include a Doctoraalstudie in Semitische Talen en Culturen from the University of Amsterdam and a Master of Arts in Arabic language and culture.
