Marieke van der Lans

Marieke van der Lans has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Marieke is currently working at Leyden Labs, starting in 2021. Marieke'sroles at Leyden Labs include Operations Director, Chief Business Functions Officer, and CFO. Prior to joining Leyden Labs, they worked at TapasTheater as the Chair of the Supervisory Board starting in 2018. From 2018 to 2021, they also worked at Menzis, where they held the position of Manager Healthcare in various areas such as regional procurement and strategic partnerships, medical specialist and hospital care procurement, and strategic partnerships. Before Menzis, Marieke worked at St. Antonius Ziekenhuis as a Hospital Division Manager and Program Manager from 2013 to 2017. Marieke started their career at The Boston Consulting Group in 2006, where they held roles of increasing responsibility, including Project Leader, Consultant, and Associate. Prior to that, they worked as a Research intern at Erasmus MC in 2005.

Marieke van der Lans completed their undergraduate education at the University of Twente from 1999 to 2006, where they obtained an Ir; MSc degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. In 2009, they pursued their postgraduate studies at Columbia Business School, earning an MBA degree in 2010. Later, in 2017, Marieke attended Harvard University for a short-term program focusing on Strategy for Health Care Delivery, specializing in the field of Health/Health Care Administration/Management.
