Vidyanand Vijayakumar

Vidyanand Vijayakumar is an Electrolyte Scientist at LeydenJar Technologies since October 2022, specializing in battery cell design and performance enhancement through agile iterations. Prior to this role, Vidyanand was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Uppsala University, focusing on the synthesis of oligomers for polymer electrolytes and lithium polymer battery development. Vidyanand also contributed to electrolyte research and mentoring junior researchers. As a Ph.D. Scholar at the National Chemical Laboratory, expertise was developed in electrolytes for supercapacitors and batteries, nanomaterial synthesis, and characterization techniques. Vidyanand's earlier experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Forschungszentrum Jülich, where work on solid and gel-based polymer electrolytes and lithium-metal batteries was conducted. Vidyanand holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research and possesses two degrees in Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University.
