Misha Brukman

Misha Brukman has an extensive work experience in the technology industry. They started their career at VMware as an MTS Intern in 2002. In 2004, they worked as a Research Intern at IBM Research. From 2005 to 2009, Misha worked as a Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Google, focusing on Search Quality and building projects using Bigtable. They then transitioned to the role of Product Manager, working on storage and caching services as well as negotiating partner agreements. In 2014, Misha became a Lead Product Manager, leading the product strategy for Google Cloud Bigtable. In 2016, Misha co-founded JanusGraph and became a Co-Founder and TSC member, contributing to the development of the open-source graph database. They also co-founded LF AI & Data Foundation and became a TSC member for JanusGraph under The Linux Foundation in 2021. Misha has also been an Advisor at boldstart ventures since 2018. They have showcased their expertise through public speaking engagements, university lectures, and presentations at conferences. Additionally, Misha has contributed as a Book Reviewer for Manning Publications Co. and as a Contributor and Reviewer for O'Reilly Media.

Misha Brukman holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Cornell University. In addition to their formal education, Misha has also completed a certification in Deep Learning Specialization through DeepLearning.AI on Coursera, however, the exact month and year of completion are not specified.
