Myoung-Shin Kim has diverse work experience in policy and education. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Programme Specialist at UNESCO APCEIU. Myoung-Shin then joined the Korean National Commission for UNESCO in 2008, where they served as a Senior Programme Specialist until 2022. In 2020, they became a Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Unification until October 2022. Myoung-Shin also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education from September 2020 to February 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Policy Officer at LG AI Research starting from October 2022.
Myoung-Shin Kim has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in North Korean Studies from the University of North Korean Studies, which they obtained from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in International Commerce from Seoul National University from 2007 to 2013. Myoung-Shin also participated in an exchange semester at the University of Melbourne's Graduate School of Management in 2008. Myoung-Shin holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Ajou University, which they attained from 1999 to 2005. Additionally, they had an exchange semester at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW's School of Business in 2004-2005.
