Soyoung An

Soyoung An has extensive experience in research and policy development, currently serving in the AI Planning Team at LG AI Research since May 2021. Prior to this role, Soyoung was a researcher at the Korea Institute of S&T Evaluation and Planning (KISTEP) from August 2016 to May 2021, where a policy framework for R&D investment and infrastructure development was developed and implemented through collaboration with industry, academia, and government stakeholders. Earlier experience includes an internship at The Heritage Foundation, where research focused on technology's role in Asian countries. Soyoung holds a Master of Science in Bio and Brain Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from the same institution, along with a brief educational experience at EPFL and recognition as the 8th Washington Young Fellow.
