Marielle Soniat Pointer

Marielle Soniat Pointer is a seasoned data scientist currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc. since March 2023 and as a Data Scientist at LG ESS Battery since August 2021. Prior experience includes positions as a Project Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at Berkeley Lab, where Marielle coordinated experimental-simulation collaborations and developed reaction-diffusion models, in addition to implementing charge transfer models and software development for simulation tools. Marielle holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of New Orleans, where the dissertation focused on charge transfer in molecular dynamics force fields, as well as a B.S. in Bioengineering from Mississippi State University. Early career experience includes service as an Education Volunteer in the Peace Corps and participation as an Undergraduate Researcher in device design and bioengineering projects.
