Head Of Baas (battery As A Service) Business at LG Energy Solution

Theodore T.Y. Kim has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Theodore T.Y. is currently the Head of BaaS (Battery as a Service) Business at LG Energy Solution, a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to this, Theodore worked at CJ 4DPLEX, where they served as the Chief Business Officer and later as the Chief Partnership Activation Officer/4DX HQ. Theodore T.Y.'sresponsibilities included global theatre development, partnership activation, and representing the 4DX and ScreenX brands. Theodore T.Y. also held the role of Head of Theatre Relations/4DX Americas and Head of CJ 4Dplex Americas Office (LA LAB).

Before joining CJ 4DPLEX, Theodore was the Head of Corporate Strategy at CJ CGV, where they focused on global market strategy and M&A opportunities in the multiplex theatre business. Theodore T.Y. also played a key role in new business development in the entertainment technology sector, working on projects with companies such as IMAX and Sonic Emotion.

Earlier in their career, Theodore was the Chief Strategy Officer at Dong-A Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., where they handled M&A defense strategies and corporate mid/long-term strategy development. Theodore T.Y. began their career at LG Chem as a Manager in Corporate Strategy, where they were involved in global strategy, business alliances, financial control, and M&A transactions.

Prior to their corporate career, Theodore served in the Korean Army's 30th Brigade as a Sergeant from March 1997 to December 1999. Overall, Theodore T.Y. Kim has a wealth of experience in various leadership and strategy roles across multiple industries.

Theodore T.Y. Kim completed their education with a BA degree in Politics and Diplomacy from Yonsei University in 1994. In 1996, they obtained a Masters degree in International Relations from the same university. Theodore T.Y. later pursued an MBA degree with a concentration in Business Administration-Finance from Korea University, graduating in 2010.
