Kate Forshaw

Kate Forshaw is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in education and creative entrepreneurship. Currently, as the Volunteering and Programme Coordinator and previously as Volunteer Admin Officer at the LGBT Foundation since February 2022, Kate has demonstrated leadership and organizational skills. As the founder of Kate Forshaw Studio, established in June 2021, Kate specializes in designing and crafting jewellery using recycled metals and lab-created gemstones. Kate's teaching expertise spans several international institutions, including roles as an Assistant Kindergarten Teacher at United School of Tokyo and Learning Support Teaching Assistant at The British School in Tokyo, where significant contributions were made to students with learning difficulties. Previous experience also includes a variety of teaching positions in English language education, mentorship of new teachers, and the development and delivery of specialized curriculum programs. Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Painting from the University of the Arts London, complemented by studies at École supérieure d’art et de design Marseille-Méditerranée.
