Richard Alexander

Richard Alexander has a diverse work experience in the field of fisheries and aquaculture. Richard began their career as an Aquaculture Technical Advisor at Saskatchewan Indian Agriculture Program in 1989, where they managed two freshwater-lake aquaculture sites and supervised processing and harvesting activities. In 1990, they worked as a Fisheries Research Biologist at Axys Analytical Services Ltd, conducting field projects and reports on the influence of crude oil water soluble fraction on Pink Salmon fry survival. From 1992 to the present, Richard has been a Senior Fisheries Biologist at LGL Limited, where they are responsible for stock assessment projects and population studies on various fish species. Richard currently holds the position of Vice President at LGL Limited and also serves as the Western Region Manager, overseeing projects, staff, and office operations in the region.

Richard Alexander obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from The University of British Columbia, where they studied from 1984 to 1987. Richard then pursued a Fisheries and Aquaculture Diploma at Malaspina University College from 1988 to 1989.
