Scott Rutherford has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Scott began their career in 1994 with Environment Canada as a Canadian Wildlife Service Field Technician. Scott then worked as a Webmaster, Web Designer, Project Manager, and SEO/SEM specialist for the Lung Association of Saskatchewan from 1998 to 2000.
In 2000, Scott became a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead at Vivonet, where they introduced the world's first Internet-based Point-of-Sale application for the hospitality industry. Scott also worked as a Senior Developer/Analyst at ALS Limited, supporting a web-based Laboratory Information Management System.
Scott joined 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in 2007 as a Director of IT and later took on the role of Applications Architect and Project Manager until 2013. At Electronic Arts, from 2013 to 2014, they served as a Dev Director and Senior Project Manager for the EA Pulse division.
From 2014 to 2017, Scott was a Software Development Manager for web and mobile at realtor.com, where they led a team of mobile engineers in delivering a highly-rated home-search app with millions of installs.
Currently, Scott works at LGM Financial Services as the EVP Technology, leading the company's strategic direction, collaborating with external partners, and driving complex cross-functional projects to completion. Scott previously held the role of Acting EVP Technology at LGM, where they achieved notable accomplishments including migrating production systems to the public cloud and launching the company's first mobile app.

Scott Rutherford obtained their Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, graduating in 2023. Prior to this, they earned a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan, completing their degree in 2000. Scott also holds a BSc Hons in Biology from the University of Saskatchewan, which they obtained between 1993 and 1997. Scott completed their secondary education at Marion M Graham Collegiate Institute from 1988 to 1992. Scott attended Caswell School from 1985 to 1988 for their primary education.
In addition to their formal education, Scott Rutherford has obtained certifications in the field of technology. Scott became a Kentico Certified Developer through Kentico CMS in 2013 and achieved the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) - MCP .NET Development certification from Microsoft Corp in 2002.
