Walter Giger

Walter Giger currently serves as the IT / Global CIO at LGT Private Banking since April 2023. Giger took a brief sabbatical from January 2023 to March 2023 and previously held significant roles at Deutsche Bank from November 2016 to December 2022, including IT / Global CIO for the International Private Bank and CIO for EMEA. Giger's earlier experience includes various leadership positions at Credit Suisse from September 2005 to October 2016, Swisscom Solutions AG as Chief Information Officer from April 2002 to August 2005, and Zurich Financial Services Group, where Giger was Head of Group IT Strategy, Architecture & Technology from July 1994 to March 2002. Giger began a career at IBM, serving as a Systems Engineer and Project Manager from April 1984 to June 1994.
