William Fung

William Fung was appointed Group Chairman of Li & Fung Limited since May 2012 and became Group Non-executive Chairman in June 2020.

He served as Executive Deputy Chairman from 2011 to May 2012 and before that, Group Managing Director from 1986 to 2011. He joined the Group in 1972 and became a Director of its export trading business in 1976.

William is chairman and non-executive director of Global Brands Group Holding Limited and a non-executive director of Convenience Retail Asia Limited, both companies within the Fung Group.

William graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business, degrees of Doctor of Business Administration (honoris causa) from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Hong Kong Baptist University and a degree of Doctor of Letters (honoris causa) from Wawasan Open University of Malaysia.

William is an independent non-executive director of VTech Holdings Limited, Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited and The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited. William was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in 2008 for his service to the community.
