Yen-Chao Wang has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the business development field. They are currently serving as the Business Development Associate Director at LianBio since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Business Development Manager at LianBio from September 2021 to April 2022. Yen-Chao Wang also gained valuable experience at Boehringer Ingelheim, where they participated in the Management Rotation Program from July 2018 to August 2021. Within the program, they worked on projects related to strategic partnering, contract and alliance management, market search, corporate venture fund, and R&D competitive intelligence. In early 2016, Yen-Chao Wang served as the Business Development & Strategy Manager at Novartis Taiwan, and earlier, as the Business Development & Strategy Assistant Manager from October 2013 to December 2015. In these roles, they drove business development initiatives, managed partnering processes, and led negotiations with potential partners. Yen-Chao Wang began their career at China Development Industrial Bank as a Research Manager, conducting due diligence on investment cases and providing healthcare industry analysis reports. They gained their initial work experience as an Investment Intern at PAC-LINK Management, evaluating biotech investment opportunities, and as a Second Lieutenant in the Taiwan Military.

Yen-Chao Wang has a diverse and extensive education history. From 2016 to 2018, Wang attended the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2011, Wang pursued their academic journey at Baylor College of Medicine, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Translational Biology and Molecular Medicine. Before attending Baylor College of Medicine, Wang completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biochemical Science at National Taiwan University from 2000 to 2002. Lastly, from 1996 to 2000, Wang attended Tunghai University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Food Science.
