Walter Strapps

Walter Strapps is a highly experienced leader in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer at Liberate Bio and CEO and Co-founder of Carver Biosciences, Inc. Additionally, Walter is a board member at Sona Nanotech Inc. and held the position of Interim Chief Scientific Officer at Deep Genomics. Previously, Walter served as Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President at Gemini Therapeutics, along with roles as Vice President and Senior Director at Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. Walter's early career included significant positions at Idera Pharmaceuticals, Merck, Sirna Therapeutics, and Sentigen Biosciences, Inc. Walter holds a Ph.D. in Genetics and Development from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and a B.Sc. in Biology from McGill University.
