Liberation Programs’ mission is to provide prevention, treatment and recovery services to help individuals and their families impacted by substance use and mental health conditions to foster hope and maintain wellness. From a single location, Liberation House, which opened in Stamford in 1971, Liberation has expanded to become one of the area’s leading behavioral health organizations. Today the agency serves more than a 1,000 people a day at sites in Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk and Bridgeport. Services include outpatient programs, two residential programs, special services for older adults and people living with HIV/AIDS, permanent supportive housing and extensive education and prevention activities in the community.
