Sara Carpenter Brown is an experienced professional with a robust background in administrative support, program management, and strategic planning. Currently serving as the Executive Administrator at Liberation Programs, Inc. since January 2019, Sara provides comprehensive support to the President and CEO while expertly managing complex scheduling and calendar activities. Previous roles include Program Director at the Breast Cancer Survival Center, where collaboration with the Board of Directors enhanced programming and fundraising efforts, and Outreach Liaison at Saint Luke's Parish, focused on grant management for community initiatives. Sara also contributed as a Board Member for the Breast Cancer Survival Center, leading strategic planning and resource allocation. Earlier experience includes managing sponsorship support at Save the Children, achieving cost reductions while increasing program funding. Sara holds a Master’s degree in Human Services Administration from Antioch University New England and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Affairs from Rollins College.

Liberation Programs’ mission is to provide prevention, treatment and recovery services to help individuals and their families impacted by substance use and mental health conditions to foster hope and maintain wellness. From a single location, Liberation House, which opened in Stamford in 1971, Liberation has expanded to become one of the area’s leading behavioral health organizations. Today the agency serves more than a 1,000 people a day at sites in Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk and Bridgeport. Services include outpatient programs, two residential programs, special services for older adults and people living with HIV/AIDS, permanent supportive housing and extensive education and prevention activities in the community.
