Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith is a seasoned play-by-play announcer currently with the Indy Fuel Hockey Club, having been with the organization since 2014. Additionally, Andrew serves as a teacher, coach, and sports information director at New Palestine High School, where responsibilities include instructing a range of social studies courses. As a statistician for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Andrew supports public address announcers during INDYCAR and NASCAR events, while also owning CrossCom Sports Network, which produces high school sports broadcasts. In communications, Andrew has directed media efforts for the Libertarian Party of Indiana and previously for James Sceniak’s U.S. Senate campaign. With a strong background in journalism, Andrew has contributed to multiple publications and authored a book on Indianapolis hockey. Educational qualifications include a B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington and master's degrees in Education and Applied Economics.
